Description
“Sloppy Joe’s” is the most notorious. “Capt. Tony’s Saloon” comes in at a close second. Both of these bars were drinking holes for Ernest Hemingway in the 1930’s. The “Green Parrot Bar” is known as the “locals” bar. It is a little off the beaten path on Southard Street and Whitehead Street, but sure gets a crowd.
Nadine painted all three locations. Of course she had to do a lot of “research” to get the paintings right. I just went along for the ride. The 4.25″ x 4.25″ ceramic tiles are placed in our dark finish lobster trap frames. There is an authentic lobster trap or stone crab certificate on the face of the frame.
